ORCA Ireland (On Road Circuit Association) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under GDPR.
WHO WE ARE
ORCA Ireland is an RC racing club based at St Anne's Park, Raheny, Dublin. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
- Membership registration: First name, last name, email address, membership plan
- Event entries: Your name and car details associated with race entries
- Shop orders: Name, email address, and items ordered for collection
- Login sessions: We store your login session token in your browser's session storage to keep you signed in during your visit. This clears automatically when you close the browser tab.
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
- To process and manage your club membership
- To send membership confirmation and renewal reminders
- To manage race event entries and publish entry lists
- To fulfil shop orders and arrange collection at the track
- To send club newsletters and race day updates (members only)
COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE
We use browser session storage to keep you logged in to the Members Area during your visit. This is strictly necessary for the site to function, clears when you close the tab, and does not require consent.
We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the site. This uses cookies and may collect anonymised data such as pages visited and time on site. Google Analytics data is processed by Google — see Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Our hosting provider Netlify may set strictly necessary security cookies as part of their CDN service. These cannot be disabled as they are essential to site security.
We do not use advertising pixels or share data with any ad networks.
DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is only shared with:
- Supabase — our database provider (EU data storage)
- Netlify — our hosting provider
- Google (Gmail) — used to send transactional emails (membership confirmations, order confirmations)
- Google Analytics — anonymised site usage statistics (no personal member data is shared)
- Stripe — payment processing for memberships (we never see your card details)
YOUR RIGHTS UNDER GDPR
As an EU resident you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability

DATA RETENTION
We retain member data for the duration of your membership plus one year. If you do not renew, your account data is deleted after 12 months of inactivity. You can request immediate deletion at any time.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated to members by email.
